Rug Size Guide
The right carpet size, like most decor decisions, depends on its intended use and aesthetic proportions. Here are some standard industry guidelines to help you find the carpet that will best enhance your space.
General Tips
• The larger the room, the larger the rug size needed.
• Rugs should be positioned at least 30 cm away from the walls, showing a bit of the floor. We prefer leaving about 45-60 cm.
• Whether furniture legs fully rest on the rug or partially on it is ultimately a matter of personal preference.
• And finally: rules are made to be broken! When decorating your home with rugs, don't be afraid to experiment and discover what suits you and your home best.
Large Rooms
For large rooms with furniture in the center, your carpet should be large enough to accommodate all the furniture without feeling cramped.

Just Right
For rooms with furniture against the walls, arrange it so that the front two legs of all the furniture are on the carpet.

Cozy Apartment
You can still use a small-sized rug to enhance a cozy apartment living space; place it under the coffee table.

Dine in Comfort
Whether round or square, your rug should extend at least 40-50 cm around all the edges of the table. This prevents chairs from going off the rug when pushed back while sitting or standing.

Round Rugs
Rule of Thumb
Place the rug under at least 2/3 of the front part of the bed. The rug should extend 90 cm or more around the sides and foot of the bed – so your feet will land on something soft when getting out of bed.

Spacious Bedroom
If your room is spacious, you can choose a large enough rug to accommodate all the furniture, including the top of the bed and nightstands.
